YWAM Hainichen is located in a small town in the eastern part of Germany, near Dresden and Chemnitz. This base was started to make a difference to people in this region – a region that is heavily shaped by a secular and post-socialist society.
This base has a two-fold ministry focus:
Since beginning in 1994, the vision has been to develop young people and to empower families to live strong and successful lives. We founded a christian kindergarten that has grown to over 50 children, have several regular programs for parents, a King's Kids team, and a family center for the community.
The YWAM Hainichen community consists of an international team plus several associate staff. Together with the children the community reaches a size of almost 100 people.
The base is located in a beautiful and green property with sports fields, playgrounds and even a ropes course. The majority of the four main buildings have either been recently built or remodeled.
